We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Green Plaza Hakuba and can recommend it highly.
While Green plaza decor was a bit old, the layout and organization of the place was great. Everything was easy to reach and we hardly needed to use the elevators. Once we sorted out the misunderstanding about my upgrade, the food was great too. Neil and I went on the snow monkey tour with the company you recommended with an excellent guide called Kenji, who was half Japanese and half Australian and gave us a wonderfully informative and entertaining commentary. We had excellent powder days there too which ensured all 5 of us had a great week.
Thank you again for organizing our stays. Your service around organizing my gluten free meals is so appreciated. We had 3 days in Kyoto last week on our way home from Spain and the whole food thing was very difficult for me by comparison. It was wonderful in cortina to be able to contact you about the problem with the food upgrade and have you sort it out in no time, even when the misunderstanding was more on my part. We will always book thru you and will continue to highly recommend you to our friends and family.

Our group of 3 had a great time at Hotel Green Plaza Hakuba.
Upon arrival, we initially had some confusion with ski passes between Hakuba Cortina/Hakuba Valley, but thankfully the communication between the staff at the hotel & Hisae enabled us to have this all fixed up within 24 hours & did not result in us having to change any of our plans.
Throughout our stay we had daily issues with the Wifi, only able to connect after 9pm at night.
Hakuba Cortina itself is a smaller resort compared to others in the Hakuba Valley. There was a range of runs, particularly more beginner/intermediate with a few advanced runs.
Being early in the season majority of the more advanced runs were still closed due to poor coverage. There were very small lift queues which enabled us to maximise our skiing time. The runs we were able to ski we very enjoyable!
We finished our days in the onsens, which were very relaxing.
Within Hotel Green Plaza we thoroughly enjoyed our included buffet breakfast. This included both asian & western cuisines. For other meals throughout the day, there were limited options. Lunch options included 1 busy cafe/restaurant & another buffet. Dinners again had the choice of cafe/restaurant which had 3 pasta dishes, pizzas & a curry to choose from or another buffet which was JPY 3780 per person.
This resort could be improved by having a bar/pub style area or having the cafe/restaurant area open later than 7:30pm. Our transfers between Nagano station & the resort, were great. Very efficient & run perfectly on time.
We also did the snow monkey tour as a rest day. I would highly recommend this day trip & it was one of the highlights of our trip. The 2km walk up to where the snow monkeys are is quite magical! This day also included a traditional Japanese lunch & the afternoon spent at a temple in Nagano.
Overall we enjoyed our stay in Hotel Green Plaza Hakuba, but would recommend this hotel to families, rather than couples.” I hope this helps Hisae!
Thank you again for all of your organisation, we really appreciate it.
Arigato!

Fantastic trip with every detail covered. Good prices and ski in/ out accommodation locations. Abundance of powder snow.
Japan Snow Accommodation had so much local knowledge of the area and were able to direct us to our destination. The language barrier was much higher than we anticipated and it was a relief to have all the information for our transfers at hand provided by JSA prior to leaving. They the trip was mapped out and we could follow instructions to exactly where we were going.
Well worth it for the snow and the cultural experience. Trip of a life time with two weeks of incredible snow riding.

My partner and I are both extremely satisfied with your services and appreciate all of your help regarding our holiday to Hotel Green Plaza Hakuba. It was definitely a highlight of our stay in Japan.
We are grateful that you arranged the upgrade to the kaiseki for no additional cost and sent plenty of information regarding access to the hotel. It was really easy coming from Tokyo and then departing to Shibu Onsen. (However, one of the bus timetables has changed and now has additional services - I'll send you the timetable when I find the brochure again!)
We are really impressed with your service and the inclusions of your offer! The moment when you come up over the hill and see the hotel for the first time is very striking. It is huge!
My partner and I stayed in the roomy standard room of Hotel Green Plaza Hakuba. It was great having a spacious room after our stay in a small city room. Some of the decor and the bathroom were a little dated but the wonderful view facing the mountains made up for it.
I would recommend other visitors to bring food for lunch and snacks during their stay but if not there is some restaurants open for lunch, which can be a little pricey, and snack food downstairs.
The Wifi can be a little spotty but did the job.
The best part of the hotel was the food, a two-day-rotational buffet with something for everyone and, of course, the skiing. The kaiseki was brilliant and I would recommend it to other travelers also.
We would describe our skiing and snowboarding as intermediate and there was plenty of runs to choose from. The best part is there is little-to-no wait for a lift. Pretty much just hop on! Unfortunately for the first half of the trip there was little snow fall which led to some runs having holes or exposed plants but during the last half of our trip, there was so much powder and snow fall.
The employees are very helpful and polite and many know English.
Thank you for a great trip and for all of your help along the way. I don't mind if you use this response or photos.

My group of 5 have been to many resorts in USA, Japan, and Europe before and all have varying ability levels of skiing/riding. We were pleased to find that Cortina caters for all levels with short steep tree runs for the advances and wide open groomers for intermediate.
Our week was blessed with 2 feet of snow over the first 2 days and followed up by some blue bird days which made for some great conditions all literally from our front door.
The Green plaza Hotel is truly gorgeous, it looks like it belongs in the Swiss Alps rather than a small resort in Japan. We found the rooms quite large and spacious which is a rarity in Japan as well, more than enough rooms for our group après after a day on the slopes.
Buffet style Bfast an dinner was included in our package and was a treat as well with plenty of western and Japanese dishes to choose from, the all you can drink card was quite fun too.
The hotel also has a large onsen with many pools of varying depths and temperatures, one which even overlooks the slopes. A great way to sooth the sore legs that's for sure.
All in all it was a great trip and we will be going back for sure, I cant thank Hisae enough for all her work to make it such and enjoyable trip and attending to our requests.

We had a great long weekend at Cortina and the hotel was great. Room suited us perfectly with 3 young kids (3 under 3.5),
Buffett restaurant was great and ski runs and kids play park all fantastic.
In the end 2 other families joined us and we were all able to ski and play together. My 3 yr old tried skis for the first time which was very exciting to see. Thumbs up from my son (pictured below) It snowed the day we left but was blue skies all weekend.

Cortina was superb and we were absolutely overwhelmed by the sheer size of the hotel and once again the staff were fantastic.
Thank you for everything you did for us. We had the most amazing time and everything went like clockwork. Your communication with us was prompt, the booking and organisation was efficient and extremely easy. They even organised transport for us back to Hakuba (Wadano) at the end of our stay.
We were once again extremely lucky with the snow and had great powder skiing.
The food was also amazing with a huge , delicious variety of food.
The mountain, although not huge, had fantastic tree runs and although we didn't go back country there was plenty of opportunity for those with the right equipment. A free shuttle bus allowed us to go to other resorts in the Hakuba Valley, especially to visit the little villages after skiing.
The rooms were a combination of Western and Japanese and once again we were surprised by the size of the rooms. You could easily accommodate children in your room if they slept on futons
We are very interested in returning to Cortin and would appreciate any packages you have for the 2014/2015 season.
Once again thank you for all your help. I have attached some pics from our trio below.....
Kindest regards,
Sharon and Trevor Monk
