Chalet Burlap

Our stay at Chalet Burlap Furanui could not have been better.

I had a single room with a king single bed and a firm mattress and I slept really well – every night.

All the staff were fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble to organise particularly restaurant bookings and taxi’s.

The morning shuttle to Kitanomine was welcome, even though the walk was not that difficult.

The small lounge area near reception became our meeting point for Happy Hour and afforded the opportunity to meet other hotel guests.

There was a cooked breakfast every morning as well as access to cereals and croissants etc. 

Overall, I think the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff at the hotel lifted a modest hotel to something special for our group.

This was the second time we have stayed at Chalet Burlap Furanui.
 
The accommodation is very comfortable and clean, very reasonably priced and the staff very friendly and helpful. They were always there to help with recommending restaurant options, help with bookings, arranging for taxis and our many other requests.
 
The location is good with a short walk to the ski lifts, although the shuttle was available to make that easier, particularly in the mornings. There are a number of restaurants nearby and a convenience store.
 
Chalet Burlap provided a substantial breakfast and although it did not operate a restaurant for lunch or dinner, the dining area could be used if you wished to bring your own or order in.
 
Overall a great experience and would certainly go back there.

It was great!

Comfortable relaxed atmosphere, friendly, welcoming and helpful staff.  The shuttle to the ski lifts was convenient and the situation was within easy walking distance of restaurants.
