Early January 2109

The accommodation is excellent, ours was the 2 story, 2 bedroom one. It would be a bit of a squeeze with 6, as there’s no actual place to put your ski and snow boots, helmets ect… so they just clog up the entry way. The kitchen is good, could do with a better toaster though. The lounge dining area has plenty of space, nice touch with the low bench just of the kitchen.

Access to the lifts is a short walk, you can ski back to the drive way. We walked in to town for supplies and then shared a taxi back. Just remember, Japanese taxis generally only cater for 3 passengers. The cost is around 1200 yen. Remember to take you shopping bags, Japanese plastic shopping bags are not very big.

We hired a car for 2 days and skied Kamui links, nice little mountain not very busy and Tomamu, vast large skiing area. Not a lot of open green runs for beginners. Each are about an hour away driving time.

Thanks,

Late January 2015

We had a brilliant time in Furano and the accommodation

Chalet Fuyuri was an absolute highlight. Beautifully presented apartment, lovely, welcoming and very helpful staff - we really enjoyed our time there and wish we had stayed longer.

The location is perfect!

Here are a couple of images from our trip.

Kind regards,
Kent
