HOSHINO RESORTS TOMAMU
Hokkaido TOMAMU2.jpg

The mountain
Tomamu is located in Hokkaido prefecture which is the north island of Japan and is the closest full service resort from the airport.  Behind the hotel is a snow covered mountain with a 150 hectare skiable area. For those with families, Tomamu is perfect for a family snow holiday in Japan. The kids ski school and kids only area create a relaxed environment for kids to learn & play.  English ski and snowboard lessons are available and there are many snow activities even for non-skiers. There are expert only powder areas which you can enter by a simple registration at the Resort Centre, CAT tours & various backcountry tours operated from Tomamu. The majority of guests are families and beginners in Tomamu so the expert only powder areas doesn’t get as crowded as other mountains..

Where to stay
Hoshino Resorts Tomamu operates two full service ski in & out hotels Tomamu The Tower & Risonare Tomamu. The rooms at Tomamu The Tower are open plan and Risonare Tomamu has a choice of one or two bedroom suites with seperate living rooms & spacious bathrooms with spa. In comparison space wise the family quad room at Tomamu The Tower is 58 sqm and at Risonare Tomamu it is 120 sqm. Both Hoshino Resorts Tomamu hotels offer a big range of dining options. The option and Risonare are a bit more upmarket than The Tower. It is also advisable to plan and book your dining even before you arrive.

The Location
The best & easiest travel option is fly into Sapporo (New Chitose Airport) and catch the ski bus, which takes 2 hours to Tomamu. If you are catching trains, there is actually a train station called “Tomamu”. The hotel runs free shuttle bus connecting to your train arrival & departure time. We will help plan your transfers as part of our service. Only 90 minutes after your departure from New Chitose Airport, you'll be checking in after being picked up from Tomamu train station.

Tomamu & Sapporo package

tat.jpg

Our vacation in Japan was like a fairy tale! Snow and ice, sculptures in Sapporo, and an amazing atmosphere ! Our hotel was 5 minutes from the center, clean and comfortable!

We were even more delighted with the Tomamu resort! Our accomodation in the tower had a wonderful view to a snowy resort.

Ice village was wonderful! Everything was very convenient and thought out! Beauty and snow, mountains and comfort made our vacation the best winter vacation! The largest pool in Japan, hot spring, ice village, restaurants, glass passages! ! Huge thanks to Hisae Cameron, For help in everything! Easy and fast communication, advice and organization - all this helped us to have a beautiful holiday.

Thanks to Tamamu resort and special thanks to Nicholas, for his very professional lessons!  He helped me to improve my skills and fix my mistakes. Nicholas was very friendly and professional and I enjoyed my lessons.

Thank you very much

Tatiana & Anatoli

TS_sandy.jpg

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hoshino Resorts Tomamu, and we mostly enjoyed this stay

We loved the ice village and access for kids (and kidult activities such as sledding) We’re a family with kids and there were plenty of time to do with kids. For the skier family you might need a bit more time to get organised

What we liked

  • From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive to our every need.
  • The resort itself is beautifully designed, lots of enclosed walk ways making it easy to navigate the reaper facilities ave restaurant.
  • Room: Our room was spacious, comfortable, and had a stunning view of the surrounding mountains. And importantly some bay window space that you can try some laundry on
  • Skiing - great!  fairly short runs but when there is powder this resort really transforms.
  • Food: good but prepare yourself for average 3500-5000 yen per person for dinner. Lunch OSS around 1500-2000 depending on what you choose. That days serving sizes are generous.
  • The snow- so fluffy and we were lucky to have hit a snow week so lots of powder skiing
  • Indoor pool- I mean heated pool in snow under cover - amazing
  • Childcare - really loving and caring teacher who accommodated the need for our kid to have lunch but still cost around ¥3500 per hour

Didn’t like:

  • Food options were centralised between the towers ands risonaire so every dinner requires a walk in the walkways- which is lovely unless you have young tired kids which makes them feel longer than needed
  • Ski lessons- limited English slots and only my for 2 hours so you’re popping around the resort to meet pick up times
  • Daycare- expensive but generally available. Really kind teachers. About 3500 yen per hour as at Jan 2025 - not linked to the ski school so you have to do the pick up drop off yourself
  • Dinner wait times- for the cheaper options really long wait queues - esp if you have a kid asking when it’s our turn
  • Ski hire- limited information on the ski hire - in summary as at 2025 - for normal carve skis it’s about ¥3000 per day - really cheap but also really heavy which makes skiing on powder a lot of work. If you want higher spec skis go to the Tomamu resort centre (a 5 mins resort bus away) - where ski rental double to 6000+ per day but you’ll get proper powder skis / all mountain skis- this was not quite available on the site to read
  • Onsen - off site to have to take a bus to get there and though the buses run frequently it’s annoying to wear full snow gear after skiing to catch a bus - that said it is nice and quiet most of the time for this same reason
  • Limited on piste dining- really interesting spot in the it’s the first mountain I’ve been on where on piste dining was limited - most dining options were at the bottom of runs which make it really family friendly if you have non skier but also lines were long

All in all a really great ski trip as there are mainly new skiers on the mountain so if you like the more advanced routes it’s usually quite free. Might not go back til the kids can ski independently though as the lessons time are a killer for pick up and drop off

Just wanted to thank you for our Tomamu ski package. For our group of four, it was the best resort we’ve been to with ski and non ski activities to keep us happy for our 7 day stay. We started with three bluebird days followed by a couple of days of snow.  A great mix.

So much so, we are wanting to return in 2027!! So I’ll be in touch next year to look at booking the same package for the four of us.

Regards
Loretta

05 January, 2025

Room (Japanese Style), was comfortable with spectacular views of the mountains and landscape.

Rental Facilities, pre book rental online to skip the morning queue, however if you are snowboarding and have your own gear, I would highly recommend bringing your own as the snowboard boots are packed down and lack cushioning.  The ski rentals are much more comfortable.

The choice of breakfast buffets in different venues in the property was of great quality, with a different speciality dish which adds a variety to the breakfast meal. The Hotolu street precinct provides choice during the stay and again of great quality restaurants depending on your mood.

Mina Mina beach and the Ice Village was a great addition to skiing activities.

Thanks
Roxanne

Tomamu &  Sapporo package

We had a lovely time in both Sapporo and Tomamu. The Sapporo hotel was a pleasant surprise - spacious, convenient, and simple and good breakfast. It's a pity that we were in Tomamu so early in the season and only one slope was open, plus the ice village wasn't ready, but we were so lucky that snow was good and we had a really wonderful time. The room was spacious enough for all 5 of us to stay in comfortably (that view was gorgeous!), and it was so convenient to be able to just take the lift down and walk out to the slopes. Ski lessons worked beautifully for our kids - the instructors were all so good with them. Food options were amazing as well, though we wish there were more options open in the afternoon. All in, we had a fantastic holiday and everyone's looking forward to our next trip. Thank you for being so accommodating and for helping us with the planning!

Mid Feb 2024

We had a wonderful holiday.
The Tomamu Tower accommodation was great. We very much enjoyed our suite and the hotel managed to have us all on one floor.  This was wonderful as we could meet and socialise in our suite as it had a lounge.
It was great to be able to visit different restaurants in the restaurant village too. We got used to the long walk to breakfast down the corridor (which I nicknamed "the worm" haha. The concept of the covered walkways was brilliant as it kept us dry and was safe to walk in the weather. The hotel in Asahikawa was also lovely.  We were not checked into our rooms early unfortunately - this actually surprised me a little as the transfer from Tomamu was very early, and as they are linked resorts, I would have thought that they would make the accommodation available earlier, knowing when we would be arriving. This however, did not retract from the service and help we received at this hotel.  We were able to socialise in the foyer area of the hotel which had tables and chairs  scattered around the large downstairs floor where reception and the restaurant was. The room we were allocated was a great size. The mattresses were amazingly comfortable :)  We did however struggle to get up from them.
Breakfast was lovely at both hotels.  I loved the access from the Tomamu Tower directly to the ski slopes. In Asahikawa, having an hour bus trip to the Kamui Links was a little disappointing but the skiing at Kamui Links was lovely. Overall, we had the best time and everything went really smoothly We are very much looking forward to going again next time.
Thank you for your efforts, Hisae.

Early Feb 2024

Our trip to Tomamu was fantastic, the resort was very comfortable with easy access to the slopes. The guests lounge with complimentary drinks , including champagne was a great place to debrief after a days skiing.
All of the organisation from you was faultless. The whole experience was very good. I will use Japan Accommodation again.

Cheers, Pete

Early Feb 2024

We booked a week’s skiing at Tomamu with Japan Snow Accommodation. Our package of transfers, accommodation and lift tickets all came together without any problems. The Tower was ski in/ski out with excellent locker room facilities. Staff were friendly and most helpful and the skiing was great. Thanks you Hisae for ensuring our holiday was as planned.

Mid Jan 2024

I just wanted to send you a quick note of thanks for all your support with our trip to Tomamu. The whole family had such a great time during the stay and the organisation/transfer and rooms were exceptionally well organised thanks to you.

From a resort perspective, Tomamu had everything that our young family needs and the kids cant stop talking about the holiday. So much so that we have already started talking about going back next year.

Mid Jan 2024

We enjoyed our stay at Tomamu Tower 2.  It is a true ski in ski out resort.  Our rented skis can be left on ski racks just outside the tower after skiing.  The resort is more suitable for families, beginners and intermediate skiers.  Advanced skiers may find the slopes quite limited for their skill level.  The ski slopes can also be crowded at times when there are large groups of local students undergoing ski lessons but they are not there all the time.

We stayed at Tomamu Tower 2.  We chose the Family Twin Room Tower 2 (2 x low beds) as it gives the biggest floor area and comes with a living room. Our room has an unrestricted view of the resort.  The hotel general area can also be very crowded especially during check in time but again this is not all the time.  What we find amazing is that the hotel provides free drinks including sparkling wine at the lounge every day up to 10 pm.
Tomamu The Tower is connected to Risonare by a covered and completely protected walkway.  This gives the option of walking there (about 20 minutes) to have dinner at the Otto Sette, Grilled Agi and Sora restaurants even when it is snowing.  Bookings at these restaurants open one month before the dining date at exactly midnight Japan time.  The Tower is also connected to its breakfast dining restaurant by a covered walkway about 6 minutes walk away.  There are other restaurants  within walking distance that do not accept bookings but they are not crowded if you go before 5:30 pm.

We used Japan Snow Accommodation to make the reservation for our ski holiday in Tomamu.  We are very satisfied with the services provided by Hisae who is very responsive to our email queries.  Their cost is competitive and provides value for money. We will use them again if we decide to have another ski holiday in Japan.

Mid Jan 2024

This was our second trip to this ski resort, which is now also shared with Club Med. We stayed in one of the tower buildings, there are 4 in total, with accommodation on the 26th floor and fabulous views of the surrounding ski resort. The room had Japanese style bedding and a separate small lounge area. Our package provided a great buffet breakfast and dinner was easily available from a restaurant area nearby, no reservations were needed especially if you go to dinner early!

There is also an indoor beach plus onsen and ice village so plenty of après skiing things to do, it is a great destination for families. The snow resort itself is good for intermediate skiers who love well groomed runs.

Mid January 2024

We have been super happy with Hisae’s service at Japan Snow Accommodation. Everything has been attended to, even when we had to make last minute changes while we were in the snow.

Tomamu the Towers was a great place to stay and the restaurants nearby gave us lots of choice. Kids had an awesome time and there were fantastic instructors too. Definitely a great option!”
Thanks very much Hisae, you have been excellent!

Kind regards

We had a fabulous time at Tomamu The Tower. Staff and services were excellent. Breakfasts were amazing and meals at night in the various restaurants around were top quality and very reasonably priced. We took the free bus to the onsen and indoor pool which were wonderful. We would definitely stay there again. Absolutely no complaints. Everything was perfect.
Have a nice day,

Really enjoyed our trip to Tomamu and staying in the Hoshino Resorts The Tower. It was our first visit to Hokkaido. The accommodation was great and the rooms were terrific. Very spacious. The lounge area in particular was great as a place to unwind with a couple of drinks after skiing or as a meeting point before going out.

The skiing was great, obviously dependant on snow conditions however we were quite fortunate with our week. It's a pity though that some of the lifts appear to have been taken out of service as so much more skiable area could be opened up.

Japan Snow Accommodation did a great job in organising our trip, not just to Tomamu but the other legs of the trip. Nothing was too much trouble and we were provided with a full itinerary, including tips and recommendations on travelling between our various places of stay over the 3 week period of our trip. Highly recommended. 😀

Cheers

January 2023

We have booked trips through Japan Snow Accomodation on several occasions for our family ski holidays.

This past 22/23 season we stayed at Tomamu Hoshino Resort The Towers and it was just as good as always. It is very convenient being able to book a room for 5 instead of 2 seperate rooms. We love the convenience of the resort being easily accessed by the tunnels and the bus system. A great resort for families.

Hisae from Japan Snow Accomodation has always been so easy to deal with and very helpful with all our room and bus reservations. This past year when the Japan borders were still closed was making it quite difficult to make decisions, but Hisae always kept us updated with the rules and we felt confident in making decisions. Highly recommend Japan Snow Accommodation

December 2022

We wanted to thank you for your great customer service and our fun and enjoyable stay at the Tomamu Resort. We are still on our long trip busy with many fun activities in Singapore now since last week. We actually spent a long time in Sapporo and going to different places like Noboribetsu, Otaru after Tomamu (first leg of our trip).

I meant to write to thank you for a seamless trip to Tomamu, especially checking on us when we unknowingly missed our transfer bus due to an hour time difference which we totally forgot. It was all good in the end.

We had been to Tomamu before by another ski company and your company was great in your communication and service to make it happen by checking on its availability and our flight schedule.

The accommodation is comfortable and exactly the same as before. We got Room 2802 (before it was 1902) strangely at the same prime position facing the whole ski 🎿 resort frontier. It is an even better view as it was much higher. Snow was not as much as before due to climate change and still early in December.

Thank you so much for everything and we did have a great and beautiful time at Tomamu!

Cheers!

Early Feb 2020

In February my family stayed at Hoshino resorts Tomamu The Tower.

This hotel was a little bit more dated than the other hotels in the resort however the rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The ski up to the door was appreciated. The slopes were good considering that the season in Japan, at that stage, had limited powder.

The Tower was family orientated  and the staff wonderful. Enjoyed the hot chocolate and wine after the slopes in the lounge. Eat street was very handy and food great.

Ice village and indoor pool were bonuses we all enjoyed.

I will be happy to go back there in the future and would recommend Japan Snow and Tomamu to anyone.

Early Jan 2020

Sadly the holiday is over but we had a very happy week in Tomamu.

Firstly, thank you for organising our family group of 8 adults and 2 children. It was a little tricky to coordinate but everything went smoothly as planned. The package you customised for us included: breakfast, dinner, lift tickets, transfers and unlimited access to Minna Minna Beach and the Ice Village, and was excellent.

Some further comments below.

1.Rooms

Our 4x rooms were perfect with everyone having wonderful mountain views. Clean, comfortable and well serviced. There is a coin laundry in Tower 2.

2.Food

In our group we had a Gluten Free dietary restriction, as well as the usual likes and dislikes, so I was concerned that perhaps we would have some problems. Thankfully, everyone was satisfied at the various restaurants we ate at, so we were able to eat together every breakfast and evening.

Nininupuri and Hal buffet restaurants provided icon signs near foods with the major allergies listed, which was very helpful.

Our favorite restaurants were:

1) Altezza Italian. Hotalu Street.

Serving made to order pasta dishes, pizza and an “Italian barbecue", where meat, vegetables and seafood were grilled at the table....so some options for our GF

2) Japanese pub,Kanemaru Goto ShotenForesta Mall

3) Green Kitchen GAO Outdoor Center

For lunch, plenty of options but sometimes we just bought a simple and inexpensive sandwich at the convenience store and enjoyed a hot chocolate at the Cafe Bar, Yukku Yukku.

3.Weather and Skiing

As you would be aware, the snowfall was well below the January norm. Whilst a little disappointing for the skiers and boarders, it was great weather and conditions for the children to learn to ski.

4. Other Activities

Minna Minna Beach, onsen and Ice Village were wonderful diversions for the kids. Also the gondola ride and short walk to the Terrace of Snow Trees and Cloud Walk, I highly recommend on a clear day.

All in all a great week in Tomamu, due to excellent facilities and service.

Many thanks for your help and patience.

Early March 2019

Hoshino Resorts Tomamu The Tower is pretty good. It has a lot of restaurants and all of them provide delicious food.

Even if my wife does not ski, she still have a lot of fun in the resort because there are many other activities for no-ski people.
The ski lanes are not as much as other ski fields but Hoshino resorts Tomamu have a good balance for skier and family vacation.

My suggestion is: if you want to go ski and ski only, it is not the best choice.
But if you want to take a vacation with family or friends and have some ski by the way, it is a top choice.

Thank you very much for you help in whole booking and trip process.

Best regards,
Melson

Late Feb 2019

We booked the the Hokkaido Powder Belt Package (Tomamu 5 nights + OMO7 Asahikawa 3 nights)

Thanks to your skiing and accommodation package, every one in our group really enjoyed this trip very much. We also appreciate your great help and considerate arrangement to make our trip and itinerary went so smoothly.

In addition to the wonderful ski courses and beautiful landscape in Kamui ski link, Tomamu and Club Med, every member in our group were impressed by the services during our stay in OMO7 Asahikawa and Tomamu. We love the warmth and joyful atmosphere in  the lobby of OMO7 Asahikawa very much. The clerks in Tomamu also kindly gave us a lot of help by providing useful information to tour around the wonderful facilities in the resort by speaking our native language, Chinese. We are very impressed by the thoughtful services of the Hotel Tomamu.

We are glad to send our ski photos with pleasure. And we looking forward to your ski package for the coming year.

Best Regards

Hokkaido Powder Belt Package (Tomamu 5 nights & OMO7 Asahikawa 3 nights)

Great 5 days of skiing in Tomamu
The tree skiing within the resort is great fun and because the trees seem to be a bit wider spaced than some other places it is easier to get a rhythm through the trees
The backcountry system offered by the resort works well. Ski patrol doesn’t hassle you and if you mess up and have to get rescued then you just pay what it costs - can’t be fairer than that
Tomamu isn’t a traditional older style Japanese resort. It is a modern integrated resort occupied nearly 100% by Chinese. If you judge it by that standard then there were plenty of good food options, apartment accommodation in the tower was excellent and the package you sourced was good value
OMO hotel in Asahikawa was also good accommodation and the one day guide service was well organised and we had a great day at Tokachidake. Next day we got a free bus to Kamui which would have been ok but weather turned bad which is just the luck of the day.

Early Feb 2019

Tomamu was really good. This year, the snow was good. The variety of areas to ski piste, trees and side country is extensive (better than Furano in my opinion), and the Powder Area registration and arm bands provide a level of comfort that you will not get stranded in the snow overnight.

There is a great variety of apres ski activities possible. The room in The Tower was very nice. I would not want anything better. Because there are only 8 rooms per floor, there was little sense of being in a huge hotel – until you exited the lift on level 1, where there were hordes (some Chinese school/university tour groups had taken over the area in front of the lifts as their reception desk area). The ski in/ski out factor also is very appealing.

We were surprised initially by the 5 minute walk to the next building complex to have breakfast, but this actually became quite enjoyable, and the buffet breakfast was excellent (the Hal restaurant). The 2 buffet dinners were also great. Whilst there is a good range of smaller restaurants to visit for dinner, these were mostly very busy and a few more restaurants could provide even more choice and less queuing. The covered walkways are excellent. As is the shuttle bus service around the resort. Again, we were initially dubious of having to take a bus to the onsen. But it turned out to be no problem at all.

But the best bit is definitely that Tomamu came in a travel package at very reasonable cost. Thank you for your service, including arranging the late afternoon transfer bus to Asahikawa.

Regards,
Chris

Mid Feb 2018

We had a great trip to Tomamu and Furano in February 2018, I must say everything from transfers to check-in was absolutely perfect and communication to arrange our trip far exceeded our expectation.

The accomodation was amazing in The Tower at Tomamu for four nights which is such a great resort and the Tower room is very spacious even for three (3) of us. Tomamu is a favourite of mine with a great variety of terrain and very uncrowded, we chose to do a Cat Tour out to Tomamu Back Country which was amazing see photos.

We then went onto Furano for five nights and stayed at The New Furano Prince the room was great however not as spacious as Tomamu however very suitable and in a great position. Furano is a great resort with a huge variety of terrain that is very challenging by Japan Resort standards. The town of Furano is an easy bus ride away for a vast variety of restaurants and shops. This was my 19th trip to Japan and will go down as one of the best.
We are looking forward to booking with you for 2019.

For 3 years, You (Hisae) have been our go to for advice and booking our annual ski trips to Japan. Adding two days Tomamu the Tower to our Furano trip was an excellent idea. The hotel was lovely. Rooms were modern with a massive (for japan) amount of space. Lots of restaurants in Hotalu street. The skiing was nice and relaxing with a decent mix of groomed and ungroomed runs. Only minor inconvenience was the Onsen was a bus ride with a long walk away. Chat soon for next year.

Thanks Patrick

Mid January 2018

Hello, I was thinking about writing you an email to thank you. We all had an absolutely wonderful time at Tomamu resort.

The children LOVE the snow. Their favorite is the slope area right next to the lobby. My boy can slide on toboggan the whole day there! The resort is wonderfully designed. Food-wise, there are so many restaurants to choose from. The food court next to the ski field has lovely yummy food. It is nice that we can walk almost everywhere with indoor cover. The transfer buses are very convenience as well. The whole resort is very thoughtfully designed, I personally love the cafe right next to the lobby,
we were able to sit inside having hot chocolate/coffee while watching the children playing outside. It was so relaxing to sit in the outdoor hot bath and have snow falling on us.

Thank you very much or organizing the room for us. Our room is spacious with two bathrooms and plenty of room for everyone. My kids are asking when we will be going to stay at Tomamu already. We will definitely be back again! and will stay for more days
next time. ^_^

Kind regards,
Casey Tseng

Mid January 2018

Just a quick email to say thanks for arranging our holiday in Tomamu. We really enjoyed our week of snowboarding and the hotel, it had excellent facilities, especially good is the new hotalu street ski-in ski out addition which is great for lunch and dinner options.

Thanks and regards,

Late December 2017

I would like to give some feedback as follow:

1)    The lobby is always crowded with guests and I find that disturbing because it gives people an impression of confusion. I suggest to have some crowd control in that area.
2)    The area where the children (and adults) slide down just outside the lobby is not a safe place to have that kind of activity. I saw children clashing to one another and injuring. There should have a proper place for the kids to play snow and sleighing.
3)    I find there are enough of restaurants to cater to such a big crowd of guests and the food is great.
4)    The service was good and prompt generally and I have no complaints on that.
5)    We spent some time at Mina Mina Beach – great to have an indoor pool and onsen – away from the crowded area.

Finally,  I would say the resort is great and we spent a lot of wonderful time there.

Thanks and Regards,
Mandy

Early December 2017

As always your service was fantastic and we thank you for your help in assisting us with our last few trips to Japan.

We had a great trip and got some amazing early season conditions. Tomamu is an interesting resort.  The terrain is amazing and the accommodation in the tower was fantastic but while we were there we found out that Hoshino Resorts are internationally owned and it attracts a large number of international tourists.  It made going out for dinner difficult due to the large number of guests  and we would often have to wait 45 mins to an hour to be seated. This is something we have never experienced before while traveling in Japan.

We hired a car and visited surrounding resorts and did some amazing skiing.  If we were to return to tomamu we would most likely only do day visits and not stay overnight.

We look forward to booking some more adventures with you in the future

thanks again

I had a great time at Tomamu. I like being able to stay on snow, at a quality resort, with good accomodation. The snowfalls were a little small whilst we were there, however everything else was good. I enjoyed the quality of the accomodation, the room was well appointed, comfortable and a good size. Loved the included buffet breakfasts. As usual the service from Japan Snow Accomodation was first class, they are quite easy to contact and correspond and very helpful with any changes or requests.

Cheers,

Thought I would let you know what a wonderful time we had a Tomamu. It really was the perfect place for our families to go this year. Accommodation was very good with great breakfasts! We all loved how relaxed it felt with being everything in one spot. We could let the kids have lots of time to themselves knowing they were safe pretty much anywhere they went. The Wave pool was a huge hit with the kids and the Ice Village was so much much better than we expected it to be. Despite our rather messed up start with the missed flights due to Jetstar we had an amazing holiday, Thank you.Attached are a few shots which you are welcome to use if you need to.

Mid January 2017

Thank you for organising another wonderful skiing holiday. Tomamu is a wonderful all round resort catering for families and the powder hounds with excellent off-piste areas. The accommodation is very clean with huge rooms in comparison to any international ski resort (my tip ask for a slope view room you won't be disappointed). There is a variety of excellent restaurants that do get busy, either eat early or enjoy a wine in the cafe while enjoying watching the night skiing before a later dinner. The off-piste tree runs are excellent and the groomed runs cater for all levels, with minimal crowds and lift queues makes for plenty of enjoyable runs. Families are very well catered for with the wave pool and ice village an added bonus for the young and old. We look forward to booking another skiing trip with you for 2018.

A very big thanks to arrange the hotel for us. We enjoyed our stays at Tomamu. I think two days was a bit too short. We all loved the place as compared to Niseko. The resort is more child friendly. We have a great time. The room was cleaned and spacious. Will definitely come back again.

This is our second trip to tomamu. Again the skiing and convenience for a family with young children was top rate. However we found the waiting time for dinner to be very long  especially at the more popular restaurants. The quality and value of the meals very generally good. The hotel Breakfast was excellent. Mid December 2016 I would just like to thank you from the Thompson family for organising a wonderful holiday at Tomamu The Tower. The accomodation and resort were excellent!! We look forward to booking again with Japansnowaccomodation. Once again thank you Hisae. Stephen Thompson

Mid Dec 2015 We thoroughly enjoyed then trip to Tomamu. Thank you for your recommendation. The set up there is perfect for families with young children. The resort has many child friendly facilities like indoor play area, snow play area, Nursery etc. The hotel rooms were comfortable and large enough for us to stretch out. Attached photo. The only small problem was that there was only 3 lifts for both guests and service staff in each tower of 30 over floors. So getting on a lift during peak hours could take a few minutes. The skiing was very convenient. The beginner areas: magic carpet, beginner chair lift and toboggan area were right at the doorsteps of the tower hotel. The ski area is not very large but enough variety to entertain for 4 days. The food was of a high standard and there was enough variety. Although they do get crowded during peak hours. The snow village was also very fun. I can wholeheartedly recommend tomamu to families with young children. Please let us know when it is ready to take reservations for the week before Christmas this year. Pic attached. Regards Yu Tien

Mid December 2015 We absolutely loved Japan, especially our time at Tomamu.  We caught the train from Tokyo, to Tomamu train station. The train trip was very cheap, and picturesque. We loved watching the land change, and when it started snowing it was hard to contain the kids excitement. We were totally blown away with how much snow laid on the ground.   We arrived at Tomamu Station and we were met by very friendly helpful Tower staff. As the snow fell we were ushered easily to our bus, and a quick trip later we arrived at the Towers. The staff were incredibly helpful and efficient, and our lack of Japanese was not an issue. We arrived at our family room and once again blown away by the size of our room, and our beautiful view. The rooms were excellent. The hiring of equipment was very efficient and helpful. The breakfasts were amazing, so many choices, Japanese and Western. The restaurants were plentiful, loads of choices, good quality food, reasonably prices for a snow resort. Loved the convenience store, and the tube like walkways. The Ice village was wonderful, not to be missed!  Totally recommend anyone wanting a fantastic resort with loads of beautiful powder, no waiting on chairlifts, and a picturesque family friendly holiday to head to Tomamu! Many Thanks for your help in making our holiday so memorable,
