Shikisaino Yado Kanoe is a traditional ryokan located in Togari Onsen. It is not directly ski in ski out but you can get access to the slopes with short walks to and from the back of the property.
Kanoe is a family owned cozy Inn only with 16 rooms. There are both Japanese and Western style rooms. The natural hot spring Onsen will soothe you perfectly after your fun skiing/snowboarding day.
They cook your meals with beautifu local produce. The rice you have at Kanoe is made in the ricefield on the field right in front of the lodge. You cannot see the field in winter but the Kanoe is surrounded by the rice filed.
Kanoe is actually the family name of the owner. The Kanoe family will welcome you to Togari Onsen and make your stay really enjoyable and comfortable!

The closest train station is Togari Nozawa Onsen station. If you are coming from Tokyo, it is about 100 minutes from Tokyo to Iiyama station then change to a local train from Iiyama station to Togari Nozozawa Onsen station which only takes 10 munites. Kanoe offers free pick up & drop off at the train station which we can help you arrange.
It is within 5 minute walk to the slope from the back of the lodge. To come back to the lodge, there is a little entry above the Rabit 4 chairlift and you can ski down the road. The last bit is flat so you need to skate or walk to the lodge but it is only 150 metres. The lodge also offers free transfers to the nearest chairlift.
