Asahidake is 1600 metres high and is very unique in that there is just one ropeway to the top with a choice of two courses from the top. Most people come to Asahidake for the backcountry and it is realy only suited to experienced skiers and snowboarders.

There is no village at Asahidake so the accommodation package at all the a accommodations comes with all meals included.

The closest airport is Asahikawa and it is about 60 minutes from Asahikawa Airport to Asahidake by bus. You can also fly into Sapporo (New Chitose Airport) and catch trains to Asahikawa station. It is about 1 hour 40 minutes from Asahikawa station to Asahidake.
