We booked the Hokkaido Powder Belt Package (Tomamu 5 nights + OMO7 Asahikawa 3 nights)
 
Thanks to your skiing and accommodation package, every one in our group really enjoyed this trip very much. We also appreciate your great help and considerate arrangement to make our trip and itinerary went so smoothly.
 
In addition to the wonderful ski courses and beautiful landscape in Kamui ski link, Tomamu and Club Med, every member in our group were impressed by the services during our stay in OMO7 Asahikawa and Tomamu. We love the warmth and joyful atmosphere in  the lobby of OMO7 Asahikawa very much. The clerks in Tomamu also kindly gave us a lot of help by providing useful information to tour around the wonderful facilities in the resort by speaking our native language, Chinese. We are very impressed by the thoughtful services of the Hotel Tomamu.

Great 5 days of skiing in Tomamu
The tree skiing within the resort is great fun and because the trees seem to be a bit wider spaced than some other places it is easier to get a rhythm through the trees
The backcountry system offered by the resort works well. Ski patrol doesn’t hassle you and if you mess up and have to get rescued then you just pay what it costs - can’t be fairer than that
Tomamu isn’t a traditional older style Japanese resort. It is a modern integrated resort occupied nearly 100% by Chinese. If you judge it by that standard then there were plenty of good food options, apartment accommodation in the tower was excellent and the package you sourced was good value
OMO hotel in Asahikawa was also good accommodation and the one day guide service was well organised and we had a great day at Tokachidake. Next day we got a free bus to Kamui which would have been ok but weather turned bad which is just the luck of the day.

Having your own car would be suited to explore Asahikawa-city and the central Hokkaido.
  • JR Asahikawa station - 13 minutes walk
  • Kamui Ski Links - 40 minutes drive
  • Asahidake - 60 minutes drive
  • Furano - 85 minutes
  • Asahiyama Zoo - 30 minutes drive
  • Asahikawa Ice Skating Link - 11 minutes drive

You can fly into Asahikawa City from Tokyo when travelling to Furano & Asahidake because it is within within driving range of  Furano (85 min) & Asahidake (60 min). 

The closest is Kamui Ski Links which is about 40 minutes bus ride from the city centre. There are fun tree run areas and the lift passes are very reasonable.

Some of our guests chose to base themselves in Asahikawa and travel to one of the mountains in the Central Hokkaido which has the best conditions on that day. 

Another option is to add Asahikawa City and Kamui to the end of your trip from Asahidake or Furano. Clck Asahidake or Furnao for a more detailed explanation on how these trips can be planned.

Hoshino Resorts OMO7 Asahikawa runs free shuttle to / from Kamui Ski Links, which is 1 hour from the hotel. This resort has variety courses to suit to families to experts. The tree run courses are challenging, but heaps of fun!

The Japow hunters can add a backcountry tour to this package to explore the Hokkaido Powder Belt with RIKI Japow Guide (RJG). The guide will come to pick you up from your hotel at OMO7 (in his own vehicle) and drop you off after the tour.  You only need to tell the guide what sort of skiing/snowboarding experience you are looking for. Then the RJG guide will suggest the best place to ski or board on the day! The accessible mountains for backcountry or sidecontry are Otoeyama, Old-Fukagawa Ski Resort (Otoe Powder Cat), Horokanai, Asahidake, Kuraodake, Horotachi Ski Resort, Pippu Ski Resort, Canmore Ski Vilage, Kamui Ski Links, Santa Present Park, Kurodake Ski Resort.

1 DAY TOUR : 63,000 yen for up to 3 people (Based on 2024 season)
2 DAY TOUR : 122,700 yen for up to 3 people (Based on 2024 season)
