We loved everything about the Olympic hotel in Shiga Kogen.
The staff were super friendly and so helpful, always smiling when they greeted us each morning for breakfast.
Breakfast is buffet style and there plenty of option plus a decent coffee machine to get the heart pumping. Good size rooms. Ours had a toilet with a lovely heated seat/ bidet. Wish I had one at home.
The location of hotel is fantastic. Just walk across the road, clip on your skis and the ski down to lifts.
Sk hire place in hotel with friendly staff and good selection of rentals.
Hotel has a very small Mexican restaurant and food is great. Amazing tacos!!!
The ski resort is great. Reminds me a bit of Perisher Valley with lots of small villages. It’s a large resort and the snow quality is really good as it’s one of the highest ski resorts in Japan.
Hotel has a huge Onsen with steps, so it’s easy to get in and out. We used to have an Onsen morning and night, great for sore and tired muscles.
We would definitely stay here again.
