Hotel Khuls Shiga Kogen

We really liked the Hotel Khuls.  The location is brilliant.  You can step out the door, walk 10 metres, and then click in and ski down to the lifts, and the reverse coming home.  The immediate area of Ichinose Family, Tannenomori and Ichinose Diamond are really good for the beginners in the family and you can easily go on a long expedition to Sun Valley and one end or Okushiga at the other.

The hotel rooms were clean and comfortable and a good size.  The breakfast and dinner buffets were really good and the dinner add-on great value.  Ichinose is just a collection of hotels and not a town, so the dinner add on is really worthwhile even if you want to have dinner in another hotel a couple of time.  Ski room facilities were great and the instructors in the in-house ski school were great.

Shiga Kogen is not a party zone, but fantastic for a family holiday.

We loved staying at Hotel Khuls!

True ski in- ski out. Breakfast was good, and dinner also fine- but it is half price if you get a dinner package!! We had teenagers with us, so the buffet dinner was worth it!
This was the view from our room- 501- worth the extra space!!!

Excellent location and easy access to the slopes. The buffet is a welcome addition as Shiga doesn’t have too many restaurant options. Staff is super helpful, especially the lady who most often works at the front desk. Would gladly stay again.

Thanks for your email. We did have a great trip.
 
I think everything was good including the staff, environment & arrangement. They had fluent English speaking staff, the relaxing accommodation and public bath environment & the caring arrangement of car parking and meals. If you want me to make a comment on this hotel, I may suggest the types of food could be a little bit more variant.  I am not sure if the photos attached are useful.
