Nozawa View Hotel Shimatraya has stunning views of Mount Kenashi above the village and the Chikuma Valley below. This spacious, airy property offers very comfortable western & Japanese accommodation. All rooms are spotlessy clean, many have stunning views to wake up to, and all have ensuite toilets and washbasins. Some have their own bath and shower, too. There are Japanese rooms for up to 4 people, and Western rooms with two and three beds. All the rooms have local TV, a kettle, onsen towel, yukata (Japanese sleeping gown), locally-controlled heating, and windows that open. From the south side of rooms, you will see the ski runs and mountain tops of Mt.Myoko.
A short stroll from the moving walkway and the slopes. The hotel is at the far end of the village and about 0.5km from the Shin-yu double chair lift which takes you to the base of the Hikage Gondola (ski school, info, cafes etc). This lift is free and you buy your lift ticket at the top if you plan to ski.

NOZAWA ONSEN
Nagano
The Mountain
Nozawa Onsen is a natural hot spring village located in the Nagano region. Nozawa Onsen was a traditional Japanese Village first and a snow resort second, so it is a Japanese residential village as well as a historic Onsen town. At the same time you enjoy skiing and snowboarding, you can see the real Japanese culture and life. The resort consists of 24 courses with two gondolas and 17 chairlifts. English ski and snowboard lessons are available.
The Location
It is about 80 minutes by Shinkansen (bullet train) from Tokyo to Iiyama station. There is the shuttle bus from Iiyama station to Nozawa Onsen which takes only 25 minutes. After booking your accommodation with us we will send you all travel information to make transit from the airport an easy and enjoyable experience.
Where to stay
While most of the accommodation is traditional Japanese there have been significant renovations made to many of the properties to make your stay very comfortable.

We had a great experience thanks and all the accomodation booking etc went perfectly smoothly.Nozawa View hotel is really good. Couldn't fault it and we loved the traditional rooms. Too many Australians at the resort though and on a fine day there were decent lift queues which was unfortunate but nonetheless a gorgeous village and some great skiing particularly up the top of the mountain where the snow conditions were less susceptible to temperature changes.Your assistance in this trip was fantastic. Thanks so much again.
