Mt. Madarao has two resorts connecting at the top. One side is called Madarao Mountain Resort and the other side is called Tangram Ski Circus. Hotel Tangram is a ski in ski out hotel located on the Tangram side.
The hotel has an indoor heated swimming pool, indoor/outdoor Onsen & sauna, a huge shop, restaurants and a nice lounge area.

The stay at Hotel Tangram was awesome, the service, people and food was perfect. One of the things that shows it’s a great place is the staff are still the same as last year, and they remember you. It is a great place to finish a ski holiday. All going well we will be back next year.

Third time staying at this Hotel booked for us by the extremely helpful Hisae at Japan Snow Accommodation.
Good english spoken by several staff which is great for those of us too lazy to learn Japanese, Mako at reception has lived in Australia and is great at sorting out any special requests. Comfy beds, good showers in the room, rooms serviced every day, really nice Onsen, very good souvenir/ski gear shop, snack shop and huge restaurant that serves a great buffet breakfast and dinner where the menu changes slightly each day. Drinks are very reasonably priced and non alcoholic drinks are free with with the buffet dinner.
If you want to ramp up the eating experience there are also a couple of specialist restaurants to choose from. The upstairs lobby has a nice bar that also serves a good expression if you need a caffeine fix. For a good night out without going out they have 3 private karaoke rooms available for a small charge.
Overall 10/10....will definitely be heading back next year to make it 4 years in a row.
