Hotel Villa Montsaint is located near Dynaland snow resort in Gujo, Gifu prefecture. Gujo has seven areas with different topography and culture, including Gujo Hachiman, which is also called Little Kyoto in Okumino. Dynaland and Takasu Snow Park are the most well known resorts in Gujo and they are inter-connected at the top, which makes them the largest snow resort in West Japan.From the hotel it is only a one minute free shuttle ride to Dynaland or 5 minute walk. You can catch an express bus from Nagoya Meitetsu bus centre to Hirugano Kogen service area bus stop (booking essential), which takes about one hour and forty minutes. Then catch a free shuttle from Hirugano Kogen service area to Hotel Villa Montsaint (60 minutes).

The Gujo region is located at the center of Gifu prefecture and includes the following resorts. Gujo Hachiman, which is also called Little Kyoto in Okumino. Takasu mountains which consists of Dynaland, Takasu Snow Park, Hirugano Kogen Ski Resort, Washigatake Ski Resort, White Pia Takasu & Gujo Kogen Vacance Village Ski Resort.
Each of the six ski resorts has its own characteristics and is attracting a wide range of people, from advanced skiers who want to enjoy long rides or tree runs to beginners or just tourists wanting to experience the snow and culture.
With Gujo Hachiman Castle in the center, there are many sightseeing spots in Gujo, such as the old townscape of Castle Town, waterways all over the city, famous water Sogisui, Gujo Hachiman Museum, and Former Hachiman Government Building Memorial Hall. Please enjoy a walk while listening to the sound of the water flowing through the town.

Thanks to Hisae and Japan Snow Accommodation for the wonderful 4 days 3 nights ski package to Gujo Snow and Castle Town.
Hisae is very responsive to queries. The instructions for transportation were well explained and accommodation arrangements were well planned. We enjoyed the ski lesson arranged and the ski resort was great and not crowded.
We received great hospitality in Gujo Hachiman Town and Sekisuien Hotel. The 4 hour private tour is highly recommended as the guide took us around the town and explained its culture and history to us. The food replica making was extremely fun and interesting. Love this lovely castle town and would love to be back.
WIll definitely look to Japan Snow Accommodation for any future Japan ski tours and will highly recommend JSA to friends!! Thank you very much for the memorable trip and arrangement.

Early February 2014 We were pleased with hotel Montsaint's service.
It's quite basic but provided what we needed after being out all day on the mountain. We enjoyed the breakfast and dinner buffet there.The jumps in Dynaland was fun for my teenage son who is a snowboarder. But the D.J. played the music way too loud. There were speakers all over the mountain, in the toilets and the cafe'playing pop songs all day long. It has spoilt the beauty of nature. However Takasu which is 15 minutes bus ride from Hotel Montsaint was much nicer for me. Enclosed is a photo of the mountains. Regards Mrs. Lisa Schwarz
