By train: 90 minutes by Tohoku Shinkansen bullet train from Tokyo station to Koriyama station. Change to JR Banetsusai Line from Koriyama station to Bandaimachi Station. There is free shuttle bus from Bandaimachi Station to Bandaisan Onsen Hotel which takes 15 minutes. There is also a bus run twice a day from Koriyama station to Bandaisan Onsen Hotel, which takes 85 minutes (booking required).
By bus: There is a bus from Tokyo station to Aizu once a day which takes about 4 hours.
