Two mountain package reviews

Madarao Cortina Powder Package Guest Review

9th March 2014

Our trip went great, we did indeed get not just one snowfall but two!

Transfers worked fine, and we received great service from the hotels in both confirming and adapting departure times.

The accommodations were also very good and we enjoyed the variation with the small hotel Madarao Kogen Hotel, the big hotel Hotel Green Plaza Hakuba and the ryokan Hakuba Onsen Ryokan Shiroumaso. While being quite different, they all had their different styles and charms.

And the food was fantastic; ranging from de luxe Japanese meal in Madarao via a great French dinner in Cortina to wonderful traditional breakfast in Happo!!!

All in all, we are very satisfied both with our trip in general and with the services you provided.

I have attached a few pics below.

Best regards,

Johan & Mathias

Thank you for everything you did for us. We had the most amazing time and everything went like clockwork. Your communication with us was prompt, the booking and organisation was efficient and extremely easy.

Madarao Kogen was unbelievable! We had amazing snow and the accommodation was fabulous.

The buffet for breakfast and dinner was scrumptious.

Toru, the Manager was great, as was the rest of the staff.

Madarao Ski field has conditions and terrain to suit all standards of skier and snowboarder. Lots of ski trails for those who like to ski on-piste and loads of tree skiing and black ungroomed runs for powder hounds like us. There is a variety of runs available, especially if you like to be adventurous.

The accommodation was very spacious for Japanese standards and the hotel had great facilities such ski hire, souvenir shop and café. There was a general meeting area where wifi could be accessed. Lockers for your skis and boards were an added bonus and access to the mountain was outside the ski room door.

Our transport to Cortina was very comfortable and the driver was very considerate to our needs, stopping at a toilet and fast food outlet for 10 minutes. He also drove us to a ski shop in Hakuba on the way to Cortina so my husband could replace ski poles broken in Madarao. He showed us the ski jump at Hakuba and allowed us to get out and take photos. The trip took about 3 and a half hours door to door.

Cortina was superb and we were absolutely overwhelmed by the sheer size of the hotel and once again the staff were fantastic. They even organised transport for us back to Hakuba (Wadano) at the end of our stay. We were once again extremely lucky with the snow and had great powder skiing.

The food was also amazing with a huge , delicious variety of food.

The mountain, although not huge, had fantastic tree runs and although we didn't go back country there was plenty of opportunity for those with the right equipment.

A free shuttle bus allowed us to go to other resorts in the Hakuba Valley, especially to visit the little villages after skiing.

The rooms were a combination of Western and Japanese and once again we were surprised by the size of the rooms. You could easily accommodate children in your room if they slept on futons.

We are very interested in returning to these resorts and would appreciate any packages you have for the 2014/2015 season.

Once again thank you for all your help."
